I am absolutely crazy about this idea. Alarm clocks don’t work for everyone, including me. And it’s not just for wake up calls either, they’ll call and alert you for other things. Basically any time you need a little reminder, over the phone, you can set it here, and the site will give you a ring. You can also use it to remind others; like your kids, to do chores, get home on time, or a spouse to pick something up at the store that they usually forget.

Wakerupper is definitely worth the wait. All you have to do is schedule the time and date for them to call, the timezone that you’re in, and then give them the message or reminder text in the little box. Confirm the security text, and then there you are, wake up call, and reminder set! Very convenient, for just about anyone with a phone. Plus they’ve got a mobile version of the site, and are now accepting beta testers.

International service; currently it’s only available in English, through Canada and the United States.
